Your share of answers is how often AI cites you on the questions that matter. Here's how to measure it honestly, step by step.
1. List real queries
Start from your customers' real questions, not keywords. "Best fragrance-free SPF 50 cream" rather than "sunscreen".
2. Query the 5 engines
Ask each question to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI: a product cited by one may be ignored by another.
3. Repeat the runs
Generation is probabilistic: a single run proves nothing. Repeat several times to get a stable frequency.
4. Read engine by engine
Don't aggregate everything into one number: it would hide the engine where you have work to do. The per-engine breakdown shows where to act.
